Wednesday, April 20

The coal-fired power industry is on track to reach a critical point in personnel dynamics during which a significant number of long-time employees with valuable corporate and industry knowledge prepare to retire. Yet, the number of young professionals entering the industry work force is not on par with the number of employee who are set to exit. This dynamic has made the importance of information exchange, mentorship, and networking amongst industry professionals of utmost importance. This presentation will discuss topics such as how the industry has changed in the last decade, the direction the industry is headed, and advice for young professionals. A round robin, Q&A, discussion session will close out the presentation.

Instructor: Priscilla Kissinger, Special Projects Manager, Carbonxt, Inc.

With the aging workforce gap it is imperative to find out what young engineers think about the power industry and what it

takes to pique their interest. If you are looking to hire someone from Generation Y and Z then listen to what these speakers

have to say. It is a new world and we need to embrace the change.
