CANCELLED - Introduction to Resilience Engineering and Highly Reliable Organizing - CANCELLED

Monday, April 18 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Room: 209
CANCELLED
  • An introduction to a different way of thinking about safety, reliability, and resilience.
  • Most quality and safety systems are designed around factory work where variability is the enemy of quality BUT power plant work is complex and inherently variable. We’ll share an approach to tweaking existing quality and safety practices to account for variability in work, focusing on the expert operator as a source of reliability.
  • We will share practices to increase reliability and resilience, proven to work in other industries, that are directly applicable to power plant operations and maintenance.
