Track 1: Power Plant Performance and Profitability

As Power Generation markets continue to evolve they have become more competitive and demand that power plants, regardless of fuel utilized or primary generating technology, be operated efficiently and cost-effectively and that plant management respond in near real time in order to manage multiple and continuously changing variables. The discussions in this conference track are intended to highlight accomplishments and concepts that address many of the issues facing today’s power generation facilities. The topics include: understanding the implications of changing fuels, making planned outages cost effective and efficient, generating plant asset management practices and safety practice/culture. Several sessions will be applicable to any fuel with selected sessions focused on coal generation and others emphasizing gas fire generation.
