ELECTRIC POWER is pleased to announce that Lee Davis of NRG Energy will join our Executive Roundtable Panel. Continuing its tradition of attracting industry thought-leaders, the session will offer a discussion of topics that focus on the fundamental changes in the power sector and will be moderated by John Shelk, President and CEO of the Electric Power Supply Association. Davis is Executive Vice President and President of the East Region of NRG Energy, Inc., the nation’s largest independent power producer and leading developer of solar power, electric vehicle ecosystems, carbon capture technology and customer-centric energy solutions.
Davis directs the company’s business operations, long-term growth and strategy for the region spanning from Chicago to New England to the Mid-Atlantic, encompassing 20 states and the District of Columbia. Under his leadership, the region’s earnings have increased tenfold in a three-year period through growth, project development and asset optimization. Previously at NRG, Davis was Vice President of Northeast Business Development, leading the region’s M&A, development, financial analysis and long-term origination business.
Davis graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, with highest honors. He later earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Emory University with a concentration in Finance and Derivatives Strategy.
